What is ESSE?
ESSE stands for the Experimental Shared System Environment. It is a place where myself and a select few people can mess around with, break, and fix things. Overall, it is a good time.
ESSE History
- Early 2024: VPS is created as Shipwreckt's private server.
- 2026-07-07: The old private VPS is re-imaged and the shared VPS is set up for use by Gositi and Shipwreckt.
- 2026-07-10: Shipwreckt tightens SSH security.
- 2026-07-10: Gositi gets lighttpd up and running, after which Shipwreckt accidentally ruins the home page!
- 2026-07-11: esse-box.uk is purchased for the server. Shipwreckt.co.uk is also moved over. Both now use HTTPS.
- 2026-07-28: Shipwreckt setup the PGP server
